M.S. in Biomedical Research (MSBR)

Application Requirements

The Master of Science in Biomedical Research (MSBR) program welcomes applicants interested in strengthening their preparation for careers and advanced study in biomedical science and research.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record, particularly in the natural sciences, such as biology, chemistry, or physics.
  • Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
  • Submit three letters of recommendation, preferably from science faculty, research supervisors, or others who can speak to the applicant鈥檚 academic and research potential.
  • Submit a completed online application and all required supporting materials.
  • Pay the $50 non-refundable application fee.

Application Review & Selection

Admission to the MSBR program is competitive. Applications are reviewed holistically by the Graduate Admissions Committee, with consideration given to:

  • Undergraduate and graduate academic performance, particularly relevant science coursework
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Research, employment, volunteer, and/or shadowing experiences
  • Academic preparation and readiness for graduate-level study
  • Interest in biomedical research and alignment with the program鈥檚 mission

Prior research experience is recommended but not required.

Selected applicants are invited to participate in an interview, which is required for admission to the program.

Fall Admission: May 30

Completed applications, including all required supporting materials and the $50 non-refundable application fee, must be submitted by the deadline.
